What do I need to supply for my Website design?
|
|
Every Web design company works differently. Some companies may ask you to supply every element of your Web site before they begin work, others may have additional services to help you put all the pieces together. If you need help, ask them – if they do not offer the service you need, they may know someone who does. At MegaSolutions for example, we ask clients to supply logos, publication ready text and images, but we also offer optional services to assist with Web writing and image finding.

How soon can you start?
|
|
We usually schedule projects upon receipt of the signed contract. Your content will also need to be ready by the dates agreed upon within our contract. If you have all your content and materials ready now, we'll work out our schedule to get started as soon as possible.

How long will it take to have my web site created?
|
|
What usually takes the longest is gathering the necessary information. Once we have the material we need, it goes quickly. Most of our Website and eCommerce packages are up within 10 days. Sites which require a database or extensive programming can take up to three months to complete.

Can I see the design while my website is under development?
|
|
Yes. Once the design for the main page has been completed it will be uploaded to our server for your approval. After approval the rest of website will be developed. During the development of your site all updates will be placed on the Internet under a temporary address entered via login & password allowing you to view the progress of your website and provide suggestions and comments as the site is being developed.

Who actually owns my web site?
|
|
When we register your domain, the person you designate will be listed as the administrative and billing contact. You are the owner of your web site.

Can I maintain my web site myself?
|
|
All our Website and eCommerce packages come with a content management system. A content management system or CMS is basically an online tool to help you organise and manage your website content. It's like a word processor and filing system in one.

Will my web site show in the first listings on the search engines?
|
|
When we build your web site we use basic search engine optimisation techniques to get your business name the best ranking we can, without spending hours doing so. We focus on your business name because that is how most of your customers are likely to find you initially. Search engines try to return the best content they can find for the keyword phrase that is being searched, so to deliver the best content (and get a top ranking) you generally need to focus one page (or more) on each keyword phrase you want a good ranking for. How can I keep track of the traffic at my web site?

If we design your website it will be hosted by us, and you will have access to statistics that will tell you how many visitors you have had, what time they visited, what part of the world they are from, how long they spent, which of your pages they viewed, etc. This is a service that is essential to promote and build a successful web site.
